About Emma

Your Melbourne APA Titled Hip & Knee Physio

My
Mission

At The Hip and Knee Physio I help people move better, feel stronger, and get back to the life they love - without fear, fluff, or guesswork.

My specialty is hips, knees, and return-to-sport rehab, delivered with evidence, empathy, and expert clarity that cuts through the noise.

My
Values

1. Evidence-Led Expertise, Not Average

I don’t do generic rehab. Every clinical decision is grounded in research, refined by experience, and delivered with precision.

2. Clarity Over Confusion

No jargon. No vague timelines. Just honest answers, clear plans, and practical next steps- every time.

3. Respect the Human Behind the Injury

I treat people, not pathologies. Your goals, your pace, and your life set the agenda - not the other way around.

4. High Standards, Always

Whether it’s a first consult, a content post, or a complex case- I bring my A-game. Details matter. Outcomes matter. You deserve my best.

5. Keep It Real (and Keep It Moving)
I don’t do scare tactics or vague advice. I assess what’s really going on, explain it clearly, and work with you to fix it -  with a plan that makes sense and progress you can feel.

EXPERIENCED HIP AND KNEE PHYSIOTHERAPIST

About Emma – Titled Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist in Camberwell

Hi, I’m Emma — a Titled Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist and Clinical Exercise Physiologist based in Camberwell, with a special interest in hip and knee injuries. With over 13 years of clinical experience, I help people manage injury, reduce pain, and work toward moving with confidence.

I’m one of few physios in Australia with dual qualifications in Clinical Exercise Physiology and Physiotherapy, giving me a unique perspective on blending movement science with hands-on treatment to support long-term progress.

I returned to university to complete postgraduate studies in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy, earning my title from the Australian Physiotherapy Association (APA) — a recognition of advanced training, clinical reasoning, and evidence-based practice.

My Approach: Personalised Rehab, Backed by Science
No cookie-cutter programs or generic advice. My approach to hip and knee physiotherapy is tailored to each person, combining clinical expertise with your goals, lifestyle, and movement needs.

Your treatment may include:
• Hands-on therapy to support pain management and improve joint mobility
• Strength and stability training for long-term capacity
• Movement retraining for walking, running, or sport
• Education and strategies to help you stay strong

Whether you're recovering from ACL surgery, managing hip pain, or living with knee osteoarthritis, I’ll support you at every stage of the journey.

Qualifications & Experience
• Bachelor of Exercise Science – RMIT University
• Master of Clinical Exercise Physiology – Deakin University
• Master of Physiotherapy Practice – La Trobe University
• Master of Physiotherapy (Musculoskeletal) – University of Queensland
• APA Titled Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist

Special interests in:
• ACL rehabilitation
• Hip impingement & labral pathology
• Knee/hip osteoarthritis
• Post-surgical recovery (knee & hip replacements and arthroscopes)

When I’m Not Treating Knees & Hips...
You’ll usually find me outdoors — running, snowboarding, or strength training. I’m a movement nerd with a love for practical problem-solving, great coffee, a good book, and empowering people to feel strong in their own skin.
